Goodstart Early Learning North Melbourne is a warm and vibrant centre, ideally situated across from the Royal Children's Hospital and next to St. Michael’s Primary School. We offer five dedicated learning spaces, each designed to cater to different age groups, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every stage of your child’s development:

Nursery One (0-15 months)
Nursery Two (15-24 months)
Toddler (2-3 years)
3-Year-Old Kindergarten (3-4 years)
4-Year-Old Kindergarten (4-5 years)

Hi, my Name is Nisha Bhatt and I’m the Centre Director at Goodstart North Melbourne.

With over 13 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of roles, including Casual Educator, Room Assistant, Room Leader, and Assistant Director. I hold a Certificate III, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and my journey has deepened my passion for fostering the development and well-being of children.

As the Centre Director, my goal is to ensure that every child receives the highest quality care and education, leading to the best possible outcomes. The first five years of a child’s life are pivotal for their growth, setting the foundation for future learning. Through positive interactions and strong relationships with educators and carers, children learn to connect with the world around them. I am dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and discrimination-free environment where every child feels valued and supported.

I strongly believe in the power of play-based learning and holistic development, both of which are key to nurturing children’s social, emotional, and cognitive skills. These approaches create a dynamic foundation for children to thrive in all areas of their development.

To provide excellence in Early Childhood Education, I am committed to building strong partnerships with families and the wider community. Together, we can create an environment where children are empowered to explore, learn, and grow.

Government Funded Kindergarten Program

At North Melbourne, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
