At Goodstart Melbourne, our centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from six weeks to school aged.

Hi, I’m Emily and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Melbourne- Latrobe St. Welcome to Goodstart Melbourne!

My name is Emily Beaumont, and I have the honour of leading our multi-cultural and diverse community here in Melbourne, on the land of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people. With 12 years of experience in early childhood education and care, I'm deeply passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive and discover their unique potential.

My background:
I began my journey as a Certificate III educator supporting across multiple centres, which ignited my passion for early learning. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to complete my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, lead nursery and toddler rooms and develop from Assistant Director to Centre Director.

My early childhood philosophy:
I believe all children families and staff should be nurtured, heard and welcomed into a safe and happy centre. For me, it's all about ensuring children and families are included and feel welcome in a centre that is culturally safe for them.

What I love most about Goodstart Melbourne:
Goodstart Melbourne is special because you are greeted with warmth and positivity when you come into the centre and encouraged to share your cultural celebrations. Every day, I'm inspired by the smiles, laughter, and learning that happen within our walls.
