We're a nurturing early learning centre located on the traditional lands of the Bangerang people. You’ll find us in a suburban pocket, not far from Federation Avenue.

We have small class sizes, child-focused, tailored curricula, and dedicated educators who bring their own talents and passions to our holistic programs from nursery to preschool.

At Goodstart Corowa, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.

Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners. 
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our preschool program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.

Hi there, i'm Joanne (you can call me Jo) and i'm the Centre Director here at Goodstart Corowa.

With over a decade of experience in the early childhood profession, my journey began in 2011 after completing a double bachelor’s degree in early childhood and primary teaching.

While my qualifications allow me to teach up to Year 9, my true passion has always been with the early years. There is something uniquely rewarding about working with young children during this vital stage of development.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve been dedicated to creating warm, welcoming environments where children can learn through meaningful, real-life experiences. I believe in nurturing not just school readiness, but life readiness—supporting children to grow into confident, capable individuals.

In my current role as Centre Director, I have the privilege of guiding a team of educators who share this vision. Together, we strive to provide high-quality education and care, offering play-based programs that inspire curiosity, encourage exploration, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

At Corowa, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
