Goodstart Wangaratta - Murdoch Road

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care centre Wangaratta – Murdoch Road is located on the eastern side of town on Murdoch Road. We are situated close to shops and schools with easy access for local country towns such as Oxley, Milawa, Moyhu and Whitfield.

 Our friendly staff have qualifications including Certificate III in Children's Services, Diploma of Children's Services and Bachelor of Education. A number of our staff have been employed here since we opened in 2005 and have developed into a very strong team. Staff place great importance on the needs of each child and their respective families.

 Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
  
 This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
  
 Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, open play areas, vegie patch, trees, digging patches, undercover areas and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

 We provide a healthy and nutritious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea cooked on site in our kitchen by our qualified centre cook. Breakfast is also available every morning. 

We have a 4 year old Kinder program run by an Early Childhood Teacher. Our Kinder program includes a variety of extracurricular activities including swimming lessons, bush Kinder, regular nursing home and library visits. The children also participate in a number of educational excursions and incursions such as traffic school, cultural experiences, drama toolbox and reptile encounters.
