Our modern, spacious environment is designed for seamless learning and sibling connections, all accommodating working families with extended hours.

Your little learners will thrive in our welcoming space guided by qualified educators and our leading play-based curriculum. Our Perth early learning centre is conveniently located in the CBD.

We are deeply grounded in our commitment to a stronger connection to First Nations people and reconciliation. And we have named our centre using the local Noongar language - Kaadidjiny meaning 'Learning' and Maya meaning 'Place'. It is pronounced Perth Kaadidjiny [KA-DA-JIN] Maya.

At Goodstart Perth Kaadidjiny Maya, we’re dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from six weeks to school age.

Our experienced and dedicated educators, including four Early Childhood Teachers, are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
We work in partnership with families to establish individual care routines and educational goals for each child. With a focus on building strong, positive relationships, we go out of our way to see your child feel valued and supported every day.
Safety is our top priority, and we look after our centres. They're intentionally designed to make the best use of our early learning resources and our settings are enriching and engaging. From spacious outdoor play areas to well-appointed learning spaces, we'll have many things that meet your child's interests and individual needs. 
Our purpose-built centre is nestled on the prestigious St Georges Terrace, comprising three brand-new age-based learning spaces. Each hub leads out to a wonderful outdoor space with natural sunlight, lush gardens and sandpit, where children can enjoy countless hours of fun.
A stunning art studio has been included for our budding artists. It is a great avenue for your child’s creative adventures and a part of exploring and fostering your little one’s curiosity.
If your child attends childcare with us, they can stay with us until they start school. At Goodstart Perth Kaadidjiny Maya we offer an approved kindergarten program. This curriculum is designed as a part of the Australian government's early years learning framework and it's delivered by bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers. This early education program applies across the country with school readiness in mind.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one key educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. We keep families informed with regular updates on their child's progress and we welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Hi! I am Lela Mrdak, Centre Director at Goodstart Perth Kaadidjiny Maya.

Having worked in the early childhood sector for over 10 years, I am dedicated to putting the needs of children and families at the heart of everything I do.

I am highly qualified and bring experience from roles ranging from Senior Educator to Area Manager. As Centre Director, my commitment is to deliver quality education and care to children.

I pride myself on creating environments that feel like a ‘home away from home’ for children, families and my team. And as a mother of three, without extended family in Perth, I understand the importance of feeling a sense of belonging, trust and support.

I’m passionate about ensuring Perth Kaadidjiny Maya feels like a second home where children and families are safe, secure, supported, educated and cared for.

At Perth Kaadidjiny Maya, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
