At our centre, culturally inclusive programs are embedded into daily routines so that every child feels a sense of belonging, no matter their home language or background.

Our Little Language Explorers program runs daily across all rooms. It provides children consistent access to age-appropriate language learning through nursery rhymes, writing, and reading in funded kinder.

We also have a social-emotional learning program that uses puppets to build emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience. It supports children in recognising and managing their feelings, developing peer relationships, and practising calming strategies.

Our centre also proudly connects children to the natural world through ‘Plant to Plate’. In this program, children grow, harvest, and cook food alongside chef Priscilla, learning the value of sustainability and healthy eating.

At Goodstart Point Cook - Shaftsbury Boulevard, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners. 
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Point Cook - Shaftsbury Boulevard centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.

Hi, my name is Staci Ibrahim, and I am the Centre Director here at Goodstart Early Learning Point Cook Shaftsbury Boulevard.

Excited to Be Back!

For those who don’t know me, I’ve been away on maternity leave and returned in late March 2025. I’m super excited to be back, and I’d like to take a moment to reintroduce myself.

I’m excited to share that I have my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have been working in this wonderful field since 2010! Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing many different roles, and I’m so proud to support a team of dedicated Early Learning Childhood Professionals. We are all passionate about delivering high-quality care and love connecting with children and their families to build those special relationships that matter so much!

Working with children is one of the most rewarding experiences, as there's nothing quite like witnessing their growth and being a part of their journey.

I am eager to support your child's learning adventure and warmly welcome your family to our centre!

Government Funded Kindergarten Program

At Point Cook - Shaftsbury Boulevard , you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.

Government Funded Kindergarten Program

This centre is truly exceptional. From the moment you step through the front door, the Center Director Staci and Assistant Director Emma extend a warm welcome and the Admin Tanja is absolutely phenomenal, kind and welcoming. Together, they ensure that each family and child’s developmental needs are met and accounts are satisfactory. Staci has set a standard of excellence for going above and beyond with her team. A huge shout out to the whole team at Shaftsbury, every educator and ECT is completely honest, approachable, kindhearted, straightforward, and caring. This centre offers an absolutely amazing program throughout the service. One of my favourite educational programs is their puppets for social and emotional learning. My son struggles with self-regulation and since they have introduced their puppets, his understanding has changed dramatically. My second favourite thing here is their language hour. This centre has a wonderful and unique range of educators from multiple cultures across the world, and Staci and her team use this in the best practice to teach children in each room multiple languages throughout their time here. But there is so much more that this centre does that there isn’t enough pages to talk about. I would also like to give a huge shout out to Priscilla, the cook. Every time I walk into the centre, the aroma is perfect. You can instantly smell the love within the food, another amazing thing about Priscilla and Staci is they create an incredible opportunity to connect with each family and explore the menu together.

As a mother, I deeply appreciate having a place like Shaftsbury Blvd where I feel completely at ease leaving my children. The entire team exemplifies a true commitment to the safety of our little ones, which addresses every parent’s biggest concern around children’s well-being. I always feel reassured knowing that they will promptly inform me of any incidents, reflecting their dedication to open communication and care. Another reason why I chose Shaftsbury Blvd, is each day they bring key learning opportunities filled with something new and exciting for the children, my children eagerly look forward to coming here to engage with the wonderful team and everything they have to offer. From the moment we joined this centre, we felt genuinely welcomed and supported. The educators took the time to get to know our child and our family, which made such a difference. We always felt listened to, respected, and included, and it gave us real peace of mind knowing our child was cared for in such a nurturing environment. A big part of this positive experience comes from the strong leadership at the centre. Staci leads with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. She is approachable, communicates clearly, and creates a positive culture where both educators and families feel valued and supported. Absolutely beautiful centre. Management are kind and understanding, always happy to assist. The staff are kind, nurturing and obviously passionate about their jobs. Both my girls have been lucky enough to spend their preschool years at this centre, I’m sure the education, lessons and love they received at goodstart will stay with them for life. Both my son and daughter have been attending this childcare center for over two years, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff are absolutely wonderful, always so friendly, patient, and caring. Tanja and Emma (admin) and Staci (manager) are super lovely and approachable, and the educators are just amazing. Sadia is great and so warm, Rachel is incredibly friendly and bubbly, Preeti is an awesome and caring instructor, and Si is wonderfully patient with the kids. Honestly, every single person there has impressed me. The food is fantastic too, my kids always enjoy it. My son even asks to go on weekends when there’s no kinder time, which really shows how much he loves it there! I feel completely at ease knowing my kids are safe, cared for, and happy. I can’t thank the team enough for creating such a loving and supportive environment. Highly recommend this center to any parent!
