Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Hi, I’m Abha Chobisa and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Croydon South.

My career in Early Learning:

I have been a Centre Director at Goodstart since 2013 and with other Goodstart centres in the area since 2011.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Education and take great joy and satisfaction in overseeing the educational programs and care at Goodstart Croydon South.

I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 12 years and as a Centre Director for 10 years. I have worked in a range of services both not-for-profit and Outside School Hours care sector in Australia and as a primary and secondary teacher in India since 2001, working with children from birth to 16 years.

My Early Learning values:

I strongly believe that your child’s first experiences in early childhood education should be positive and joyous as that establishes their love for learning in their future life.

The people and the support! From a quick morning hello to the amazing support given when we organise events, fundraisers, and different activities with children.

When I am not working at the centre, I enjoy reading, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with my son.

Government Funded Kindergarten Program

At Croydon South, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
