Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Beaumaris is a 67 place Early Learning Centre conveniently located in a quiet one way street across the road from Beaumaris Primary School. We are situated just behind the Concourse in the beautiful leafy suburb of Beaumaris.

We have designated parking spaces allotted to the centre to enable a safe drop off for families. Our centre is very secure, accessible only by pin entry.

Our rooms are spacious and well-resourced – all designed in line with the Early Years Learning Framework. Rooms have a view of the outdoors and are split into five age groups ranging for 6 weeks to 6 years. We also have family-group siblings throughout the day through our flexible run indoor/outdoor program.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family information nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. We have a large beautiful outdoor play area which includes a large bike track, digging patch, sandpit with bamboo fencing, vegetable patch and lots more natural experiences.

Our educators are committed professionals who foster an ethos of respect and belonging. Our team is culturally diverse and this diversity translates into our educational programs. We also encourage families to participate in the development of our responsive program. Our Centre Vision is to empower children to become holistic learners which in evident in all our daily programs.

We have a funded Pre-School program with a highly experienced and innovative teacher. The Pre-School Room includes an Art Studio where children are able to create and explore various art media experiences as well visiting our friendly Centre Pet, a Turtle named Hector.

Here at Goodstart Beaumaris, we have a strong focus on community involvement and endeavour to extend upon children’s interests, through excursions and inviting people from within the community to come and visit us such as the dentist, librarian and vet. We also offer extra-curricular experiences including, yoga, sports, pottery with a qualified art teacher and Hey Dee Ho Music and Movement program on a weekly basis.

Our on-site cook provides nutritious meals daily and caters for special dietary requirements.

My name is Sharmily G Munirathinam and it is a privilege to introduce myself as the Centre Director of Goodstart Early Learning Beaumaris.

I have been in the early learning sector since 2006 and I hold a Diploma in Children’s services and Graduate degree in Education.

I am passionate about giving more opportunities to children to facilitate better and more powerful outcomes. I thrive on doing my best to provide high quality education and care for all the children at our Early Learning Centre. I always make sure that the operation of the service is running professionally effective to benefit the children and the families in our care.

I believe the environment plays a major role in the success of an early childhood program. It should enhance the children’s interests in all developmental domains. I believe learning in an early childhood environment is done most successfully through stations that can be visited, explored, and revisited again and again. The environment should take into consideration the social skills, communication skills, physical abilities or challenges, and learning styles of the children being served.

I am very proud of our team here at Goodstart Early Learning Beaumaris and the way we are always striving to improve and empower our children to become Holistic Learners.
