Our early learning centre is built on Meanjin Country. You’ll find us in a convenient location near the busway station and Technology Park.

We provide tailored, nurturing long day care from nursery and toddlers to kindergarten across eight age-specific rooms in our purpose-built double centre. Our beautiful centre offers a natural homely feel, providing the children with a calm and easy transition between home and our centre.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Hi my name is Chantelle and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Eight Mile Plains

I began working in the early learning sector in 1999 at ABC Daisy hill, this is where my career evolved and I became the Director by 2005.

In 2010 ABC became Goodstart and I also went on leave for my first child. Since then, I have worked over a couple of different centres as the Director for Goodstart and had two more children. I became the director here at the Eight-mile plains centre in 2017 and have enjoyed every minute of it.

I choose to work in Early Education because I believe that the first five years of a child’s life are integral to building a strong foundation for their future and I want to be a part of encouraging them to grow and develop a love of learning early in life.

As the centre Director I believe I am the one guiding the ship while I ensure my educators and teaches are supported whilst building meaningful relationships with children, families and our community.
As a mother of three boys I feel my experiences with them growing up has shaped my understanding around the importance of creating a secure, safe and supportive environment for all families and children.

At Eight Mile Plains, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
