Goodstart Annandale - Yolanda Drive

Goodstart Early Learning Annandale Yolanda Drive is located in a relaxed pocket of suburbia amongst residential areas, local schools and shops.

Our Early Learning service is part of a great defence community and located close to Lavarack Army Barracks, Townsville University Hospital, and major shopping precincts.

Our planning and documentation techniques encourage and support individual development. We plan lessons that incorporate multiculturalism, a sense of belonging and healthy lifestyles, just to name a few.

Across all rooms from Toddler to Pre-Kindergarten, we are aligned with an Early Years Learning Framework. In our Kindergarten room the curriculum aligns with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines Framework. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning experiences.

Our Storypark platform enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor programs to the child’s individual needs, interests, and strengths, as well as supporting the strong level of cultural diversity within our centre.

Outside, we have ample age-appropriate explorative areas and equipment. Our yards comprise of 3 sandpits, lots of shade, a vegie garden, 2 wooden deck areas, flower gardens, a recycling area, a yarning circle, and a balance of natural and man-made play surfaces.

We encourage family feedback and are always seeking ways of improving our early learning and education journey with each family and child. Our service is family orientated based with 4 rooms which allows all educators and the Centre Director to sustain strong relationships with all families and children.
