Hi, I’m Lesley Shneier and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Bondi Junction West.

I hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, and take great joy and satisfaction in overseeing the educational programs and care at Goodstart Bondi Junction West.

I have been in the Early Childhood industry for almost 40 years and as a Director for 20 years. I have been privileged to have had the opportunity to impact many children’s lives by instilling a love for learning, growth and development.

My Early Learning values:
I believe that developing positive and collaborative relationships with staff and families is paramount. I have always had an open-door policy and encourage both staff and families to pop in either for a chat or to address any concerns and to offer my guidance and support.
Together with my team, I am committed to offering a safe and loving environment for children and infants in which they can flourish and reach their full potential. All children are capable and active learners, and we need to advocate for them where they are heard and respected.

What I love about our community:
When children are raised in a community that values care and development, they benefit from positive interactions with other children, caregivers, and adults in their lives. Events, programs, and initiatives help bring us all together and this connection and engagement helps build a strong sense of shared responsibility for children’s wellbeing.

A little more about me:
I am originally from South Africa and moved to Australia in 1999 with my husband and 2 children. I am blessed with 2 grandchildren who bring joy to my heart and a smile to my face every day.
When I’m not in the centre, you’ll find me enjoying walking around the local neighbourhood, spending time with my family and friends and reading a good book in the sunshine.
