Currently, to be eligible for CCS, families must have a certain amount of activity hours, which is the numbers of hours parents spend in work, study, training, or other recognised activities. This determines the amount of CCS they can receive. Under the new 3 Day Guarantee, the activity test is abolished for the first 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. This means all children, regardless of their parents’ employment status, will have access to at least three days of CCS-funded care per week.
