Townsville teacher's tips on regional work and living
Early childhood teacher Kylie Ryan of Goodstart Kirwan Golf Links Drive shares her insights.
Goodstart Cranbourne East over 150 years of combined knowledge we maintain a 'home away from home' environment for educators, families and children.
We are located just off Narre-Warren Cranbourne Road. We have plenty of parking with public transport opposite the service. Our location provides access to nearby shops, health care facilities, local primary and secondary schools.
The team of professional educators at Cranbourne East are passionate about ensuring quality care and inclusion. By guiding children to build secure attachments with their educators who support all children. We work as a team to plan and spontaneously explore the world with each child, respecting their learning and providing natural and stimulating environments that offer opportunities for challenge and discovery.
We maintain open and honest communication and support families holistically through understanding individual needs, cultures and beliefs. We know that building strong relationships with families and children creates a foundation for shared input, decision making and contribution to your child’s learning.
We document and share each child’s learning experiences with families through Storypark and meaningful conversations working in partnership with the Early Years Learning Framework/Victorian Early Years Learning and Developmental Framework.
Our team believe that all children have a voice and are capable, competent and successful learners. We will wander along with each and every child, allowing them the time and space to explore the natural environment, making their own choices and decisions about how they will learn and play.
We host a variety of events showcasing our diverse community. These events consist of cultural holidays and early childhood calendared events that are important and have an impact within our community.
Our open door policy encourages you to share time with your child at our centre. At Goodstart Cranbourne East we pride ourselves on not only being a quality Early Learning Service, but a support network for all.
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2013 and hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I’ve been part of the Goodstart family for nearly 11 years now and have enjoyed every moment of this rewarding journey.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children across all age groups and collaborate with a wide range of educators and professionals in the sector. These experiences have deepened my understanding of child development and strengthened my commitment to high-quality early learning.
My Early Learning Values
I strongly believe that a child’s early experiences in education should be positive and meaningful, as they lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment is at the heart of everything I do.
My Role as Centre Director
As Centre Director, I am passionate about leading and empowering a team of educators to deliver quality learning outcomes for all children. I also value building strong partnerships with families and strengthening our ties within the local community.
What I Love About Our Community
I am proud to be part of a diverse and vibrant community. I strive to create a space where all families and children feel welcomed, respected, and supported—regardless of cultural background or life experience.
A Little About Me
I am a proud mum of two boys, aged 12 and 7. As both a parent and educator, I understand the importance of providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and express themselves. I am dedicated to forming meaningful relationships with every child and family in our care.
I look forward to meeting you all in person and working together to give your child the best start in life.
Warm regards,
Jasleen Kaur
