You'll find us in a safe and sound pocket of suburbia on Yalumba Drive near Salisbury Downs.

We are a 100-place child care centre, catering to all early learning age groups with four rooms. Discover our nursery for our babies, a room for toddlers, and two for preschool children. Why not take a tour?

At Goodstart Paralowie - Yalumba Drive, we welcome visits from respected and interesting members of the community. These include the South Australian Police (SAPOL), Kaurna Elder Uncle Tamaru, our local dentist, library, Bunnings, a reptile show, and bagpipe performer.

Our freshly renovated centre has a prestigious Landcare grant. The children learn from our onsite worm farm and planter box with Aboriginal plants for NAIDOC week.

During your tour, you'll see our wall of 25 flags representing all the beautiful cultures at our centre.

Our centre is committed and focused on creating a warm and welcoming community. We look forward to building and maintaining meaningful and true relationships with all our families. And we stay in close contact with parents and guardians about children’s developments.

At Goodstart Paralowie Yalumba Drive, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.
We prioritise:

Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners.
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our preschool program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start reception.

Hi my name is Alex and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Paralowie Yalumba Drive.

For more than 20 years I have worked in the child care and early learning industry and have experience across many areas. I have an Advanced Diploma of Childcare and I have been a group leader and director at three centres - Director at Parafield Gardens, Paralowie Byron Bay Drive and here at Paralowie Yalumba Drive.

I love working across all areas and with all age groups in the early learning sector and I am fortunate to lead a team of highly qualified and vastly experienced carers and educators – all of whom work closely with parents to ensure the needs and individual characters of your children are catered for. We aim to provide the highest quality child care in a safe, comfortable home-like environment.

At Paralowie - Yalumba Drive, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
