Goodstart Green Point
Goodstart Green Point is located in a convenient position close to schools, a shopping complex, and the local library and community centre. Our spacious outdoor play area provides many opportunities for the children to extend their development and explore their surrounds.
We cater for children aged from six weeks to five years. We have been operating since 1995, and have many dedicated, long-standing educators who share their languages, musical talents, and creative flair with the children. We have five qualified Early Childhood Teachers working at the centre.
A variety of different nationalities attend our service, and we maintain a connection with the local multicultural resource centre to enable us to access resources, explore different cultures, and be appropriately inclusive of all of our families. Your family's culture and interests are important to us, and we encourage you to share them.
We communicate in a variety of ways with our families, including emails, newsletters, written notices, family events, and verbal communication through phone calls and face-to-face conversations. Each day we complete an information sheet detailing the routines of our infants.
Our centre was purpose-built, and features spacious play spaces and easy access to outdoor environments. We allow for flexible indoor and outdoor routines, allowing children choices as well as intentional teaching times. Our on-site cook provides fresh, nutritious meals daily. Nappies are included in our fee structure for younger children.
We maintain a strong partnership with Green Point Community Centre, supporting events and programs that they run. We are involved in their network meetings and are creating partnerships with the local high school, gardening groups and the multicultural resource centre.

Welcome to our Goodstart Early Learning family. My name is Joanne and I am a director at Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre, Green Point.
I have almost 12 years’ experience as a Centre Director, and joined the Goodstart Green Point centre in 2009. Prior to this I worked in a variety of roles both in Australia and overseas. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) and have experience working with all early learning age groups.
Along with Sonya, we lead a team which strives to provide a happy and safe learning environment for our children, their families, and our fantastic team of educators!
We work closely with the community and, in partnership with our centre’s parents and families, we provide a fun, play and experience based learning environment.
We’d love to meet you and your child, show you around the centre and help give your child a great start with highest-quality early learning opportunities.

Hi there! I’m Sonya and I have led the Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Green Point team since our centre opened in 1995. I have been in the child care industry for more than 25 years and I have a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood.

As a mum, I have seen my own three children graduate from the centre, so I know first-hand the importance of high-quality early learning.
Joanne and I lead a team of experienced and qualified carers and educators, all of whom share our passion for play and experience based learning, developed to meet the needs and interests of each individual child.
